Description:
The majority of the current heat production at Thisted Varmeforsyning is supplied by I/S Kraftvarmevaerk Thisted, where the heat is produced at a waste incineration plant. This heat production is primarily supplemented with geothermal and straw heating. For this, Thisted Varmeforsyning has a number of gas engines and gasboilers, which are located around the various central stations in Thisted,
and these function to the greatest extent as peak and reserve loads. At the power stations in Hillerslev and Klitm0ller there are also gas engines and gas boilers; However, these engines and boilers are only used in the event that Thisted Varmeforsyning cannot deliver the desired amount of heat through the supply lines to the two cities.
Thisted Heating supply is today primarily supplied with heat from the waste plant (furnace 1 furnace 2), in addition to peak load supply with wood pellets and gas.
