Description:
One main contract is being offered for the renovation of two schools located respectively in Amager (the School in Peter Vedels Gade) and in Valby (the Freja School). The workers are tendered together, as the client wants to achieve a synergy effect on the two cases, for example by exchanging experience between the to construction cases, overlapping employees and cooperation and flexibility with any joint subcontractors.
A building permit has been issued for Frejaskolen. A building permit has also been granted for the school in Peter Vedels Street, but a building permit is pending for furniture in corridor areas in the living room andon the 1st floor. This is expected to be received immediately after the conclusion of the contract.
The renovations include, among other things, roof replacements, facade renovations and renovation of various installations at the two schools.
Frejaskolen:
Frejaskolen is an older, brick Copenhagen school on three floors plus basement. Out hereabove there are free-standing smaller buildings on the adjacent cadastral register. The school is worthy of preservation (SAVE 3).
The school houses children who are extra vulnerable to unforeseen events and sounds (category 3 children). The Freja School is in use throughout the construction process, except for the areas that are part of the construction processindividual stages. The contractor must expect coordination with the construction management and the school before starting and continuously during the execution of the works.
At Freja School, the asbestos-containing roof of the main building must be removed. A new roof with twigs, skunk and skylight must be built, and windows etc. the facade needs renovation...
