Task description: The National Development Company for Business and Meeting Tourism, Meetenmark, works strategically and proactively to develop the industry in a sustainable direction. Sustainability is an international competitive parameter in tourism that is expected to intensify in the coming years. The new national tourism strategy focuses on sustainable transformation of business and meeting tourism and emphasizes, among other things, that Denmark must take the lead to create and disseminate solutions with smaller environmental and climate prints why Meetdenmark together with the four member destinations: VisitAarhus, Destination Nord , Destination Funen and Wonderful Copenhagen in the period 2022-2024 develop a wide range of offers to strengthen the sustainability profile of the business and meeting tourism industry. Meetenmark works with sustainable transformation of business and meeting tourism, with the ambition to strengthen the opportunity and competence of the Danish business and meeting tourism companies to measure the impact of their activities and as an industry contribute to 70 % reduction of CO2 emissions in 2030.
