Description:
The tender concerns the purchase of an AI Mammography solution for Region Southern Denmark and Region Central Jutland, respectively. It is an IT system.
As far as Region Central Jutland is concerned, it is only an option. Region Central Jutland can thus choose or refrain from using the option to purchase an AI Mammography solution.
An increase from approx. 4,800 in 2024 to approx. 5310 cases of breast cancer in 2028. Early detection with breast cancer screening and treatment according to best practice are considered essential elements to reduce breast cancer-related mortality and morbidity in women.
70,000 screenings. In addition, approx. 17,000 clinical mammography examinations. It is expected that approx. 10% of clinical mammography examinations are performed as tomosynthesis. In the case of Region Central Jutland, approx. 65,000 screenings and approx. 15,000 clinical mammography examinations.
Each screening examination consists of 4 x-rays, 2 standard projections per breast. In the case of previous breast cancer and breast-conserving surgery, a third projection is added.
