In the upcoming district Travbyen, Billund Municipality will have to construct an age-integrated day care center for 0-5 year olds. The day care center must be named the rocking tree.
With the new day care center, we will focus on what children's development and learning space looks like in the future. Therefore, the new day care center willFocus on high quality in play and learning environments and at the same time focus on looking after our resources to get a better and more sustainable common future. It is the ambition that the new day care center will be a special building with a very unique environment for children in a fantastic new district.
Travbyen is under development and construction, and becomes a brand new district in Billund located in the area of a former trotting track. The district is developed with a focus on a good and inspiring framework for living, playing and learning - across generations. With large green areas, 'pedestrian streets' between the houses andWith the car as a guest, the district offers a variation of housing types and common functions focusing on the good community. The swing tree must occur as a natural part of this vision and district.
