Description: This project "Monitoring of low-frequency underwater noise" is made possible through a financial license, in connection with the execution of monitoring activities in the region of the Marine Strategy Directive (HSD), as well as the National Water Environment Monitoring Program and Nature (Novana). The project must run in the years 2021 - 2024, but if applicable, the Agency has the opportunity to extend the contract period, with written notice. The project deals with the collection of data for supply of energy to the marine environment, specifically the energy underwater noise adds the marine environment. Underwater noise comes from many different activities at sea. Some sounds are quite natural, such as wavy spray and the animals' own sounds, while others are man-made and can cause direct or indirect damage to sea animal life. Generally, there is a lack of knowledge, both the spacious and temporal distribution of noise emissions, as well as to what extent the animals are affected by these sound discharges.
