Description:
At the 721st Air Station Karup, the necessary facilities must be established to be able to handle AAR NATO tankers in order to meet the NATO Minimum Military Requirement.
The project includes a parking platform for 4 AAR tankers. The platform must also be used for maintenance, adjacent taxiways expanded, etabulation of new and relocation of associated lighting fixtures and installations, as well as establishment of connecting roads. The project also contains 3 hydrant systems for delivery and defuelling, including associated installations and piping. The contract thus deals with construction work for the establishment of a newstand for larger aircraft, as well as expansion and renovation of taxiways to and from the stand, as well as renovation of the main runway. The stand is made with a concrete surface. The taxiway extensions and the renovation of the main runway are mainly carried out as asphalt surfaces, but with some areas in concrete.
Standpladsen has an area of approx. 23,000 m2 and the main track and taxiways an area of approx. 223,000 m2.
Given that the facilities are to be used for heavy air traffic, there are special requirements in connection with the casting work of the concrete pavements, and the work must be carried out with great care, both in relation to fald conditions and finished surfaces.
The contract must be executed in the period from April 2024 up to and including December 2025 (incl. execution and delivery). A detailed plan for the execution can be found in the overall tender material.
