- Energinet wants to extend the life of our existing 400 kV GIS plant, manufactured by AEG, which is located at Asnaesvaerket, so that the plant can be operated until 2029, after which it will be rehabilitated. Energinet needs to extend the lifetime of Energinet's existing 400 kV GIS plant at Asnaes in Odsherred Municipality of the make AEG, which was erected and commissioned in 1978 and expanded in 1989. The facility consists of 5 fields and is equipped with a hydraulic maneuvering system. The plant connects Asnaesvaerket with Zealand's 400 kV grid towards Herslev St. and Bjaeverskov St. as well as the local 400/132 kV transformeris. Parts of the facility underwent service in 1998 and 2004. The purpose of the life extension is to ensure that the facility can continue to be operated until 2029, after which it is expected to be renovated and replaced by a new station at S0stremosen. The facility has several SF6 leaks that need to be identified and remedied.Furthermore, the hydraulic maneuvering system must be sealed for oil leaks, and other necessary repairs must be identified and rectified. In addition, necessary spare parts must be supplied and installed, including the replacement of defective control relays and contactors. All works and improvements at the facility, which requires decommissioning, must take place in the period 30.09.2024 to 20.12.2024, when the plant is decommissioned. Repairs and work that does not require disconnection can be carried out outside the mentioned period. The timeframe for this is subject to further agreement with Energinet.
