Boligforeningen Århus Omegn (BÅO) will construct a total of 8,544 square meters of Public Co-housing on a plot located at Serinedalen, 8340 Malling. The construction is planned to include the following distribution of housing units (indicative): 1-room apartments: 7 units of approximately 50 m² each 2-room apartments: 36 units of approximately 65-70 m² each 3-room apartments: 14 units of approximately 98 m² each 4-room/5-room apartments: 31 units of approximately 110-115 m² each The project materials currently include a total of 88 housing units distributed over 8,544 m², of which approximately 230 m² is the common house, LADEN. It is important that the total number of square meters is as close to 8,544 m² as possible. The desired number of housing units is between 88 and 92 units. If the distribution and number of housing units are changed, new housing plans or explanations must be provided. However, the total area cannot exceed 8,544 m². The ambition is to design and construct the buildings as simply and wisely as possible, to optimize and simplify both the construction process and the choice of materials by building with biogenic materials and in modules, thus using as few resources as possible and emitting as low a CO² footprint as possible. The construction is envisioned as a timber construction with wooden structures and wooden facades, with overhangs to protect the untreated facades.
