Description : UWC West is the collaboration of four national weather services in Denmark (DMI), Iceland (IMO), Ireland (Met Éireann) and Netherlands (KNMI), who will join their forces to cooperate on the improvement of their short range weather forecast. The primary goal of the collaboration is to provide efficiently the best short-range weather forecasts for the geographical area of interest, enhancing safety and ensuring life and property for the citizens in all of the four countries. Central to this quest is a jointly operated UWC West supercomputer which will be put out for tender autumn 2020 by the national weather services in Denmark (DMI).
