Description: The contracting entity administers a number of special educational support schemes (SPS schemes). Support in the form of IT aids for blind and visually impaired. The aids are primarily an IT starter package consisting of standard hardware (eg a laptop) with operating system, office package, standard software (eg PDF software), compensatory hardware (eg flatbed scanner or all-in-one printer/scanner) and compensatory software (eg, screen reader software or magnifying software). However, aids may also be separate products consisting of either compensatory hardware or compensatory software. The tenderer must purchase, prepare and distribute these aids to the students covered by the SPS scheme. In addition to the delivery of aids, the tenderer must also serve as a support organization with Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the students and their supervisors,
