Description:
Nordvaerk Affaldsenergi A/S handles the operation of energy plants in Hj0rring and Aalborg. The energy plants produce slag in connection with the incineration of waste.
In this connection, Nordvaerk Affaldsenergi needs to enter into a contract regarding handling in the form of transport, treatment and disposal - of this slag (hereinafter referred to as the "Contract"). The contract only covers the handling of the slag produced from the energy plant in Hj0rring, as Nordvaerk has an existing agreement regarding the slag produced from the energy plant in Aalborg.
It must be in continuation of the above it should be noted that approximately 17,000 tonnes of slag are produced annually from the energy plant in Hj0rring. However, this amount can vary in the upward as well as downward direction.
The tender for the Contract is carried out as a public tender in accordance with the European Parliament and Council directive of 2014-02-26 on the procedures when entering into contracts within water and energy supply, transport and postal services and on the repeal of Directive 2004/17EC (hereinafter referred to as the "Supply Companies Directive").
The contract comes into force on 1 May 2026 and then runs until 31 December 2028. Nordvaerk Affaldsenergi A/S however, has the option to extend the Contract in two installments of up to two years duration per extension. The contract will thus if options are fully exercised expire on 31 December 2033 at the latest. Extension will take place on unchanged terms.
