Delivery of climate data to ATP
Opgavebeskrivelse: Climate considerations play an increasingly important role in todays in investment portfolios along with traditional ESG exclusion list considerations. The approach to climate metrics at ATP has early on been formulated as an investment belief. We believe we can and should utilize relevant aspects of the climate metrics to improve our understanding of risks and to identify potential investment opportunities. The effort is as such primarily risk and return driven as opposed to a desire to look green and/or good. There is no inherent contradiction between return and social responsibility, and we are not about generating high returns at any cost in the first place. We aim to maximize risk adjusted returns in a responsible way and believe levering a deep understanding of climate aspects is one of the means to meet this overarching goal. It is therefor of the outmost importance that ATP has access to reliable climate metrics data with a broad global coverage and as far back in time as possible.
